Guth na hÉigse competition - Poetry Ireland

All instructions regarding changes to Guth na hÉígse are in Irish and then again in English at the end of the email. These changes should facilitate schools in making it easier to enter the competition. 

  1. Entries in video/ Virtual entries
  2. Now you can submit video entries for the first round. Make the record using a mobile phone and upload it on the jotform entry form at thethis linkor on the poetryireland.ie site. Further guidance on how to make a recordhere. Please submit the entries before the22 October.A parent/guardian consent form photo or scan must be uploaded with the entry forms.Get thethese forms are available here. They are entitled toenglish here

  1. Now register for the Guth na hÉigse competition before the17th October.Fill in this form for registration. Submitentries in video form before 22 October.Please submit entries onthis form. It is the same form as registering or submitting entries.Registration and virtual entries can be sent on the same form at the same time if it is done before 17 October. There is no limit to the number of students you can apply for.

  3. There are two poems to be learned for the first round. Two more poems are to be learned for the second round. They are available on the website poetryireland.iehere.  They are also attached to this email. For the final, students are allowed to choose two poems from the four poems that have already been learned to say aloud.
