This very personal presentation will seek to explore the importance and use of Visual Supports for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), based on Amanda’s vast experience in this area over the past decade.  The webinar is designed with teachers, special needs assistants, and parents in mind, and Amanda draws from her own experiences working with her own children, teachers, Autism groups and others to inform her work in this area.

All attendees will receive a Visual Support Resource Pack designed and created by Amanda Mc Guinness to help further their learning about Visual Supports.

Amanda Mc Guinness is a Law Graduate, Autism Education Consultant, Visual Supports Designer, Author, Advocate and Columnist. She is mother to 4 children, 3 of whom are autistic. She is the author of the world renowned “What is the Coronavirus?” Social Story which has been accessed online over half a million times to date and has been featured and recommended by Ireland’s National Autism Charity AsIam, the National Autistic Society UK, National Autism Association of America, Psychology Today together with Social Skills Expert Dr Jed Baker to name but a few.  She is the author of “Starting School- A School Preparation Handbook: Supporting Children with Additional Needs”.
