Studying for a Doctorate with Lincoln University-an information evening with Joss Winn

Studying for a Doctorate - Information Evening
Mayo Education Support Centre has a long-standing relationship with the University of Lincoln, UK, through which many teachers in Ireland have studied for a part-time professional doctorate. Each year Irish teachers attend two weekends of study at Lincoln, and academics from Lincoln visit Mayo Education Support Centre each July to hold a Summer Course for teachers.
Dr. Joss Winn, who oversees doctoral study in the School of Education at Lincoln, will be holding an online meeting for anyone who is interested in learning more about doctoral study: what it entails, the amount of work required, what distinguishes a PhD from an MA, and how doctoral study at Lincoln can be undertaken from Ireland. One or two Irish alumni will also join him to offer their perspectives.
The Lincoln Summer School, which is an EPV approved summer course for primary & post primary teachers will take place this year from 1st - 5th July in Mayo Education Support Centre. This summer course supports teachers who are currently studying for a doctorate, and also those who would like to explore the possibility of doing so in the future.
