In these online workshops participants will participate in an enjoyable virtual orienteering experience and reflect on how google maps can be used in an integrated fashion to develop pupils map skills within both the primary PE and Geography curriculum.
Attendees will explore how to create their own virtual orienteering trail and consider how their pupils may also use further online tools to explore their locality. Finally, participants will explore apps which can be used to integrate digital technology within traditional orienteering outdoors in PE as a means of enhancing motivation and to support non-contact orienteering in the current times. Adaptable to both remote and face to face settings, this workshop will provide participants with a practical set of resources, templates and instructional videos to ensure activities can be adapted to their own school contexts.
