This series of 5 webinars is to assist teachers with the basics of Irish Grammar. It guides participants through a series of simple rules that will make Irish Grammar more accessible for teachers and pupils alike. The webinars deal with the basic rules of grammar in a structured and progressive way that is thematically based. It shows the beginnings for teachers and pupils alike. Remember that you can not do it all!

Please note these webinars will be delivered through Gaeilge agus Béarla. This series offers a sustained high quality CPD experience for those wishing to improve their Gaeilge teaching.
This webinar series provides a high level of support and continuity for teachers over a three week period. Participants are expected and encouraged to ‘Bain triall as’ some of the ideas featured in each webinar where possible between sessions. Handouts containing relevant information, websites and resources will be emailed to participants after each webinar. Teachers will also have the option to participate in a ‘What’s App’ support group for the series. At the end of each webinar, the tutor will also address participant queries and questions.
Facilitator: Art Ó Súilleabháin practised as a primary school teacher, first in St. Pat’s School in Drumcondra and then as Principal of Burriscarra NS in Mayo. He then went on to become the ICT Advisor for Mayo before becoming Director of Mayo Education Centre. He learned his Irish from the age of eight when he moved to Corr na Móna, having been brought up in Boston (USA). He went on to publish a number of books in Irish for children before being co-author on a series of grammar books for children (published by in 2019). He taught Irish in the CUA, a university in Washington DC as part of the Fulbright programme in 2018/19. He now lives in the Gaeltacht, in Corr na Móna, Co. na Gaillimhe.
