Catherine Newman Bio - Catherine Newman is an experienced post primary and primary art educator with over 25 years of teaching experience in Irish schools. A graduate of the National College of Art and Design with a BA in Art Education and Art History, she also holds a MSc in Educational Leadership and Management.
Catherine specialises in ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, weaving, design, and art history. Her workshops are grounded in the Primary School Visual Arts Curriculum, focusing on creativity, exploration, and skill development.
Committed to advancing arts education, Catherine supports teachers in building confidence and practical skills to deliver meaningful, process-based visual arts experiences in the classroom
