Negative body image detrimentally influences mental health, eating behaviours, and self-esteem, with knock on ramifications for learning and relationships. While the full extent of these consequences may not become apparent until adolescence, it's crucial to recognise that adverse behaviours and attitudes that impact body image can originate in children as early as three years old.
This 2-part webinar series will delve into the theoretical underpinnings of the escalating issue of negative body image, explore its impacts on our children and offer evidence-based practical advice &strategies for use at class and whole school level aimed at encouraging children to perceive their bodies positively.
Dates: 9th & 16th April 2024.
Time: 7pm each evening .
