Studying for a Doctorate – Online Information Evening

Mayo Education Support Centre has a long-standing relationship with the University of Lincoln, UK, through which many teachers in Ireland have studied for a part-time professional doctorate. Each year Irish teachers attend two weekends of study at Lincoln, and academics from Lincoln visit Mayo Education Support Centre each July to hold summer workshops for teachers.
Dr. Joss Winn, who oversees doctoral study in the School of Education at Lincoln, will be holding an online meeting for anyone who is interested in learning more about the doctoral study in general: what it entails, the amount of work required, what distinguishes a PhD from an MA, and how doctoral study at Lincoln can be undertaken from Ireland. One or two Irish alumni may also join him to offer their perspectives.
To attend the online information evening on 10th April 2025 and to find out more about studying for a Doctorate, Lincoln University and the Lincoln Summer workshops taking place in Mayo Education Support Centre, register below.
